FAFSA / FINANCIAL AID

FAFSA Completion Night

Feb. 10, 2025 5:30 - 7:00pm

FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, gives access to federal grants, subsidized student loans, and the federal work study program for college. A FAFSA application is also required for many scholarships, including the state Opportunity & Prime Scholarships. Many private scholarships require that students fill out a FAFSA, whether or not they qualify for financial aid.

In short, all SSHS seniors should plan on completing the FAFSA.  Click on the image at the top of this page to go to the FAFSA website, or navigate to www.studentaid.gov.

Prepare for the FAFSA by creating a StudentAid.gov account, your electronic signature for the FAFSA form. The student and one parent will need an account. Check out this handy explainer for help.
